FLEXnet Delivery

This section describes the minimum system requirements to install FLEXnet Delivery using the self-hosted (or on-site) model. Self-hosted FLEXnet Delivery requires some third-party components—database server and Web browser—for each of which you must have one of the supported versions.

Database Servers
FLEXnet Delivery requires a database server to operate; FLEXnet Delivery 2.1 supports the following database servers. (See the FLEXnet Delivery 2.1 Installation and Configuration Guide for specific configuration details related to FLEXnet Delivery 2.1.)

Important: Consult the database documentation for installation and usage information. Acresso assumes that you have an understanding of your system environment and the operation of the database prior to installing FLEXnet Delivery.

Oracle
For information about the supported Oracle database versions, visit http://www.oracle.com/.

Hypersonic SQL
The Hypersonic SQL (HSQL) database is embedded with the FLEXnet Delivery installation and can be installed when you install FLEXnet Delivery.

Important: The HSQL database is provided and intended only for evaluation purposes. It is recommended that you use one of the supported Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server database versions for production use.

Server Machines
The FLEXnet Delivery 2.1 servers (FLEXnet Delivery Customer Interface and FLEXnet Delivery Publisher Interface) must be run on a system that meets the following requirements.

Component	Requirement
Memory	500 MB RAM (1 GB recommended)
Hard Disk Space	300 MB
Operating System	The system must run one of the following operating systems: Microsoft Windows XP Microsoft Windows 2000 Microsoft Windows 2003 Server Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.0 SuSE Linux 10 Solaris 9 or 10 (SPARC or Intel)

Client Machines
The client machine requirements vary, depending on whether the client machine is used for the FLEXnet Delivery Publisher Interface or the FLEXnet Delivery Customer Interface.

FLEXnet Delivery Publisher Interface
To use the FLEXnet Delivery 2.1 Publisher Interface, the client machine must meet the following requirements.

FLEXnet Delivery Customer Interface
To use the FLEXnet Delivery 2.1 Customer Interface, your customers’ client machines must meet the following requirements.

This section describes the minimum system requirements for the Acresso-hosted model of FLEXnet Delivery.

Client Machines
The client machine requirements vary, depending on whether the client machine is used for the FLEXnet Delivery Publisher Interface or the FLEXnet Delivery Customer Interface.

FLEXnet Delivery Publisher Interface
To use the FLEXnet Delivery 2.1 Publisher Interface, the client machine must meet the following requirements.
